Ringing a chord with your friends is the easy part. Developing a cohesive strategy or story plan to develop meaningful performance? Let's make that just as easy. In Acting for Singers, we'll look at music and creating performance through the lens of the theatrical professional, including textual analysis, technique, combating habitual movement, and creating an exciting interpretation. We'll also watch and discuss some great performances from the barbershop, Broadway, cabaret, and popular music spheres and how we can learn from all of them to create the elusive "authentic performance."
This course runs Monday–Friday.
